Through the course of a life there are many times when you feel stuck or when life presents you with the challenge of staying or going. This time of year gives us the opportunity to review where we were and where we’re about to go. All change is challenging or so it seems. Really, change is about taking the opportunity that has presented itself and “Saying Yes”.
This is where things can get a bit sticky, because if you rely on your past experiences you will tend to rely on the negative ones. By relying primarily on negative experiences we get stuck and are afraid to move forward. Historically humans need to protect themselves and thus the memories of the difficult and painful remain larger than necessary.
Sometimes we just need someone to help us through those hurdles. We need someone to point out a different perspective or carve a new path. Many would say they have friends to give us a new perspective. But often our friends mean well and don’t want to see us feel bad about ourselves and often withhold their true feelings. How many times have you heard from a friend that they didn’t think you should be with your chosen one, only after you’ve broken up. Wow if only they had said that early on maybe you would have made a different choice. Our friends are safe havens but are they going to carve the path or have enough clarity to get us to take that next step?
I have found that if you find someone to work with who looks at the situation from 5000 feet and with the perspective of how energy influences the environment then the perspective is more balanced and clear. Energy affects every aspect of our lives and we are now just beginning to look at how it impacts our thoughts and feelings. Through the eyes of energy you will view things differently. Let’s take this example you walk into a place that you wish to rent and it’s everything you want but something feels off. You disregard the feelings because it has met all the criteria you established. You’re in this beautiful space but things suddenly seem to go wrong (car troubles, breakups, tiredness, etc). This is the very aspect of energy that is too often overlooked.
Over the course of my life I would tell people in job situations or on a project I was managing that something just didn’t seem right, only to be disregarded. Later it would come to light that what I was feeling and sensing was on target. I spent a lot of years remaining quiet about what I felt was wrong because I didn’t have vocabulary or understanding how to quantify the energy into something that made logical sense.
